Orange County Buddhist Church (OCBC), located in Anaheim California, is a member of the Buddhist Churches of America (BCA), headquartered in San Francisco, California. The temple belongs to the Jodo Shinshu Mahayana Buddhism and the Mother Temple is the Nishi Hongwanji located in Kyoto, Japan.
Our ministerial staff consists of four ministers:

Regular Sunday Services:

Meditation Service:
| Sundays at 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. | |
| Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. | |
| OCBC Mini Chapel, next to the main sanctuary. | |
| The Meditation service consists of sitting meditation, walking meditation, sutra chanting, and a short Dharma message. | |
| The meditation service begins promptly so please arrive early so that you do not disturb the session once it begins. | |
| Wear comfortable loose clothing. | |
| You may sit on the floor on a meditation cushion, or you may sit in a chair. | |
| Previous experience in meditation is not required. |

Religious Education
In addition to the adult classes on Sundays, the following scheduled activities and facility are available for Buddhist educational purposes:
| Spring and Fall Ohigan Seminars on Saturday before the Ohigan service. The seminars are conducted in both English and Japanese. | |
| Monthly Howakai (Gathering at a member's home). | |
| The library, located in the classroom building, has many books on Buddhism (including children's books) available for checkout. | |
| Ojuzus, books and other Buddhist gifts are available for purchase. | |
| The Orange County Buddhist Church Buddhist Education Center offers diverse selection of classes for the young adult or adult seeking to learn more about Buddhism and Jodo Shinshu. |

The temple business is managed by the Board of Directors. The Board President for 2008 and 2009 is Jeff Folick.
Temple membership is open to followers of the Jodo Shinshu
teaching. Membership dues are thirty
dollars per month for family membership and fifteen dollars per month for individual
membership. Other necessary source of income are contributions for services,
special donations, Konshi from special holiday services, and fund-raising
activities.
