Electronic Devices and Drop-off/Pick-up :

1. Students are not permitted to bring any electronic devices (i.e. iPod, Gameboy, lap top, etc.) to class. Should your child bring these items to school, Japanese school is not liable for any broken, stolen, or misplaced items.

2. When dropping off or picking up students, please enter through the northeast gate, then proceed in one direction toward the drop off area. There are two exits out of the parking lot: the southeast exit (to Dale Ave.) and the southwest exit (to Ball Road). The new exit on the southwest end of the new parking lot will be open before and after school. It will be closed during school hours. Only right turn is permitted out of this exit

We understand the rush to drop off your child(ren) on time for Japanese School, but due to heavy traffic congestions, please do not double park when dropping off or picking up your child(ren). We ask that you keep traffic at a continuous flow and park in a marked parking spot until your child(ren) are ready. There is additional parking and a exit on the Ball Road side.

Should teachers need volunteer in their classrooms or if you wish to observe the class, please follow the procedure:

    a. Find out from the classroom teacher when they need help in the class.
    b. Check with the office when it will be convenient to observe the class.
    c. Stop by the office to sign in and pick up the volunteer/visitor tag.
    d. Stop by the office to check in and return the tag when done.

Please remember to inform your child's teacher in advance if you know your child will be absent from school the following week or needs to leave school early. In case of unexpected absences, please call the office so we can inform the teacher. It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements for someone to pick up their homework or to provide teacher with a self-addressed stamped envelope so homework can be mailed to them.

Please read "Emergency Medical Consent Form" carefully, select one of the two options, sign under either Section#1 or Section#2 (please do not sign both) and return the form to your child's teacher as soon as possible. During the year, should it become necessary to provide emergency medical care for your child, we will follow your instruction as indicated on the form, Your child's teacher should be informed immediately of any changes on the emergency form.
